Baptism is a significant milestone in every Christ-follower’s spiritual journey, publicly declaring our faith in Christ and our intention to follow him. A person who is getting baptized has made the internal decision that Jesus now calls the shots in his or her life – that they will live for him, not for themselves anymore. Baptism is the chance for a person to go public with commitment – it is the outward demonstration of the inward reality of their faith in Christ.
